During the FEU Council Meeting in Amsterdam, the Federation of European Fire Officers proudly awarded the FEU Bronze Cross of Merit to Jan Jorissen/delegate Belgium and Bjarne Nigaard/delegate Denmark in recognition of their dedicated service as FEU Auditors. Bjarne served as Auditor from 2016 to 2021, followed by Jan from 2021 to 2026.

Both recipients carried out their responsibilities with professionalism, integrity and commitment. Through their independent oversight and constructive advice, they contributed significantly to transparency, accountability and good governance within the FEU. Their work helped ensure confidence in the Federation’s financial management and provided valuable continuity over many years.

The FEU Board expressed its sincere appreciation for their loyal service and lasting contribution to the Federation. The presentation of the Bronze Cross of Merit reflects the FEU’s gratitude for their dedication and support.
