During the FEU Council Meeting in Amsterdam on 6 November 2026, delegates re-elected Stephan Wevers as President of the Federation of European Fire Officers (FEU) for a third and final three-year term. The decision reflects the Council’s confidence in his leadership and commitment to strengthening cooperation among fire and rescue leaders across Europe.

Since becoming President in 2020, Wevers has guided the FEU through a period of growth, expanding its international network, strengthening leadership development initiatives and helping shape the organisation’s Strategic Plan 2026-2030. During his final term, the FEU will also begin preparations for a future leadership transition.

Following his re-election, Wevers expressed his gratitude for the Council’s trust and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting leadership, professional development and international cooperation within the European fire and rescue community.
